Are you ready to see the results that you deserve and desire for your skin? Put your skin into the hands of a professional! How can you find an expert when you don’t know what kind of service or treatment you want? Skincare and aesthetic treatments are continually evolving and becoming more complex. Even a seasoned skincare enthusiast may be overwhelmed by the many options available.
We are here to assist. Kate, our founder, was a pioneer of the medical esthetics field. She was among the first to invite nurses to her clinic as partners with estheticians to achieve maximum results. Kate and her team gained a reputation for their work and are trusted today by some of the world’s most famous faces. We deliver not only visible results but also without any downtime. We are committed to optimizing your skin health.
There is so much misinformation and information about skin care (still recovering from the ’90s, thin brows, oof!) How do you decide what path is best for your skin and you? Everybody deserves a trusted expert to guide them through this exciting discovery of what is possible for skin throughout the ages.
We’ve created a guide to help you understand the various treatments medical and esthetician professionals perform. Be sure to read the following before we begin. Enjoy the journey. You should feel inspired, hopeful, and optimistic about your skin health. The goal is to make you feel better about yourself. It’s essential to find out what you like. While trying new things is fun, don’t go for it if it doesn’t feel “like you.”
Second, the same rules that apply to essential self-care also apply to skin care – eat healthy, exercise, drink lots of water, maintain good sleep hygiene, and manage stress in a way that works for you. You will always look your best when you’re happy and relaxed.
Two is better than one when it comes to achieving maximum results. A nurse and an esthetician provide complementary and different services. When combined well, one’s work amplifies that of the other. The effects are compounded over time.
The state licensing requirements will determine what is covered by an esthetician vs. a nurse. Nurses typically perform procedures involving injectables, whereas estheticians do facials. Lasers, micro-needling, and peels are other treatments that can be achieved. You can learn more about each specialist’s unique background and experience by clicking the links below.
Nurses
- A nurse’s medical training and experience allow her to provide effective and efficient treatments. This requires a thorough knowledge of anatomy, interconnections, and joint health problems that could contraindicate specific therapies.
- The dermis is part of the skin that receives the majority of treatments in the medical aesthetic scope. This level of therapy typically results in longer-lasting results.
Esthetician
- The training and experience that an esthetician has in the field of aesthetics allow them to provide treatments with a deep understanding of skincare, products, and massage methods.
- The epidermis is the part of the skin that receives most treatments in the aesthetic scope. They want to achieve the healthy, glowing radiance we associate with healthy skin.
Our Skin Health Experts help you in the following ways:
IMPORTANT SKINCARE
Our clinicians will always ask you how you feel regarding your skin, as skin is so personal. We want to know…
- You may be happy with your life but you must see some visible results.
- Do you have a skin problem that is frustrating you?
- What has been your skincare routine recently and over the years? Do you care for your skin with daily skincare? Or are you more of a sun worshipper or “soap and water” person?
Remember, this is a place where there is no shame. We ask questions to learn more about your skin and how we can improve it.
SET SKIN GOALS
We help you to set goals for a healthy future by exploring the following:
- What physical changes do you wish to see in your skin? This will allow us to create a treatment plan which delivers the results you desire.
- Why do you do this? Working with a Skin Health Expert is something you do for yourself, or is it “should” be done? If I look certain, I will feel more confident or fit in better with others.
No answer is right or wrong. We want to know what motivates you to transform your skin visibly. We understand the social pressures to look young, but we don’t want anyone to choose a treatment out of fear or negativity. You should enjoy this, and it should make you feel good! It is essential to balance physical goals and mental motivations. When both are in balance, you’ll be able to enjoy your journey and achieve the results that you want. It’s essential to start by addressing your motivation.
Check Your Comfort Level
Working with an esthetician or nurse cannot be very safe if you are new. We find it helpful to know…
- We need to know what treatments you have done before so that we can determine a plan of treatment for you.
- Do you want to concentrate primarily on topical treatments or injectables? Or both? I avoid services that require injections, but many of my co-workers book regular appointments with our nurses for injectables. It’s all about your comfort level. It’s okay if I don’t get the desired result by abstaining from injectables. I enjoy exploring alternative options.
- Some treatments can cause temporary discomfort. Our clinicians will communicate this to you so you can decide what’s right for you. We can also customize your skincare journey so that you get the results without leaving your comfort zone.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR COMMITMENT LEVEL
All of us want to feel and look our best. We’re not all equally motivated to achieve the same results. It’s okay. Together, we can help you…
- What is your time commitment to achieving your skincare goals?
- How long will it take to achieve the level of transformation that you desire?
- You may need to adjust your goals and timeline based on what you are willing to do.
DETERMINE UR BUDGET
It’s a good investment to invest in yourself. You shouldn’t spend all your money on beauty treatments or products.
- Working with a Skin Health expert is essential. We can help you decide which treatments are right for you based on what you want to achieve and save you money by avoiding the ones you don’t need.
- It may be better to choose a few high-quality products and treatments from a reputable provider than to buy “a lot” at a place that advertises low prices.
